Boat trip and hiking in nature reserve Lurö and national park Djurö
Djurö National Park – Remote, isolated archipelago in the largest lake in Western Europe. Experience the huge, scenic, unspoilt Lake Vänern in this combined boat trip and hiking in Djurö National Park. We go on board a private boat in the harbor of Ekenäs and steer out through the nature reserve Lurö archipelageo, where we make a short stop to go to see an old fisherman’s house which now is a museum. The trip continues 8 km – now on open water with astonishing 360 degrees view, towards the national park. The Djurö archipelago consists of more than thirty islands and islets. No archipelago in Sweden is situated in such remote location, and it is precisely that seclusion that is so captivating. The island’s wave-swept rocks, rubble stone shores, special flora, abundant bird life and interesting history are typical components that makes this guided tour a very special experience.
