After two weeks of heavy snowfall all lakes were “snow closed” in Sweden. No possibility of skating. Then it happened. Thaw and loads of rain. It felt like March. Rivers and streams were filled with water…
… snow melted to slush and the stable ice was visible again. Many of the lakes are difficult to get on because ice has melted along the shore line.
Today’s check by the little pond had strong surface after last night’s minus degrees. Tomorrow we will try a bigger lake.
